Dr. Edward Hallowell
Ned Hallowell is a child and adult psychiatrist and founder of The Hallowell Centers in Sudbury, MA and New York City. A graduate of Harvard College and Tulane Medical School, Hallowell was a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty from 1983 until he retired from academics in 2004 to devote his full professional attention to his clinical practice, lectures, and the writing of books. He is an engaging speaker and teacher who has worked for over 30 years treating adults with ADHD and is recognized as one of the foremost authorities on ADHD in the world. Dr. Hallowell is the author of eighteen books, including the groundbreaking best-seller, Driven to Distraction and Delivered from Distraction.
Sue George Hallowell, LICSW
Sue Hallowell has been a practicing therapist for more than twenty-five years and is an early pioneer in the arena of treating couples impacted by ADHD. She was the Director of Inpatient Social Work at Mass Mental Health Center and an Associate Professor at Simmons Graduate School of Social Work (adjunct) for 12 years. She is co-author of Married to Distraction with her husband, Ned, and has appeared on Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz and Today, among others. A frequent workshop presenter, she is a graduate of UVa and Boston College. She and Ned have three children and live outside Boston.
Dr. Kevin Murphy
Kevin Murphy is currently President of the Adult ADHD Clinic of Central Massachusetts in Northboro, MA. He was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Chief of the Adult ADHD Clinic at The University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA from 1992 to 2003 and is currently an Associate Research Professor of Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Murphy has co-authored 3 books, including ADHD in Adults: What the Science Says, a definitive review of the scientific research available on ADHD. He has also co-authored over 30 scientific articles and book chapters on Adult ADHD. Murphy is a sought-after speaker and conference presenter on issues related to assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD.
Dr. Murphy received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston College, his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University, and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
Melissa Orlov
Melissa Orlov is a marriage consultant focused on the study of ADHD's impact on marriage. She is the author of The ADHD Effect on Marriage, which was awarded the gold medal for the Best Psychology Book of 2010 by ForeWord Reviews. She writes the Your Relationships column for ADDitude Magazine, blogs for Psychology Today, and contributed to Married to Distraction by Ned and Sue Hallowell. As a marriage consultant, Orlov helps couples from around the world rebalance their relationships and learn to thrive. She has been interviewed on the topic of ADHD and marriage by the New York Times, CNN, Today, US News and World Report, CBS, AOL and many others. She is a cum laude graduate of Harvard College and she and her husband of 20+ years have two children and live outside Boston.
