I was discarded like a piece of trash on a camping trip.   I'm so lost right now and I need help.  I wrote a 133 page deposition on what happened. I wrote down a timeline of events, the effects of another condition and everything that lead up to being thrown away by somebody who was supposed to love me.  I am grieving the loss of this marriage. I have no hope of restoration because of all of the damage. The ADHD syptoms just primarily destroyed the relationship because having them a long with a 17 year old stepdaughter who has Reactive Attachment disorder just clearly doesn't mix.

Three years now since I decided to leave my severe inattentive ADHD partner of two decades. 

What strikes me now, several weeks into vacation mode, is how raw the pain still is. Mostly, I avoid thinking of him. But when I do, it’s clear the bond is nowhere near breaking. Essentially, I loved him, ADHD and all. Essentially, I would’ve wanted to stay with him.

I've read the ADHD Effect on Marriage book 3 times, and many others as well. So I know what everyone says and the "tips and tricks". At the end of the day, my ADHD wife of 20 years just refuses to do anything about it. She says she hates the way her brain is, but has no plans to do anything on her end.

Nothing is her fault and she is not accountable for anything. She is on social media 6+ hours a day, but doesn't have time to clean or cook while I go to work and pay for everything.

First time posting in this forum for me. But I am literally between a Rock and a Hard Place.

Husband always defects his behavior onto me insisting I am the problem in our relationship. While he admits how he frequently acts is not appropriate, his only response is an apology and insistence that I am justifying my behavior towards him. How different it would be if he just took responsibility for his behavior and came up with solutions to actually CHANGE rather than just tell me he will immediately fix it (since that does not happen). I am so overdone with this attitude.

My husband  (ADHD and dyslexia at 46) said to me recently how he thinks Ive been a lot friendlier and Ive gotten back to more "me"and i dont seem to be as angry or taking things as personally. I wasnt really sure what to say back except thank you, because ive had a big inner turmoil for a bit and Ive really shut myself down when it comes to him and our marriage. 

i love my partner very much and for the last 7 years his ADHD has just gonnen to a new level that i want to scream i work and look after the house and look after him and our furkids but sometimes i just feel like im a cleaner house wife and everything else our conversations are so confussing we will talk about onething and before i even know it he is on 20 different subjects and i find if i dont say the right thing or i dont know it ends in this big fight im really trying to understand ADHD and im trying to find ways to communicate better but im just not getting anywhere please help me

Hi all, I’ve been going through the process of a breakup. My partner broke up with me six months ago, but as of two months ago he started reaching out  and we would meet up from time to time. We had agreed to be friends but that got muddied by lingering feelings although nothing physical happened. I was confused about the breakup and he essentially told me that my adhd symptoms were just too much. I can see he loves me but seems unwilling to work with me. I guess I just need some advice on the possibility of reconciliation.

My wife and I are trying to find a good Dr. to give a more complete diagnosis including spouse input. We're in the Catskills region of NY and would like to find someone that is local and takes insurance. Anyone have related experience or recommendations?

This is more of a general question than an experience. I'm curious if couples that have ADHD on both ends (both spouses) actually live more harmoniously in certain situations. I can imagine it could be a train wreck for some people but more curious for two adults that are further along in life (maybe that already have kids, a stable job, and live single on their own). I was thinking about this because mostly I see couples where it's always one-sided. A family friend met a woman recently who's also been diagnosed and he and I were talking about potential bliss or major red flags.
