FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ADHD Effect on Couples Continuing Education (CE) Phone Seminar for Counselors and Therapists

BOSTON, Ma (March 14, 2011) – Dr. Ned Hallowell, Melissa Orlov, Dr. Kevin Murphy and Sue Hallowell, world renowned authorities on the effects of ADHD, are hosting a six-series seminar, from May 5 to June 7, 2011, designed to educate and train Health Care Professionals and Marriage Therapists to improve their effectiveness when counseling couples in which one or both partners has ADHD.  This 21 credit* Continuing Education seminar is administered conveniently over the phone, thus reducing the costs associated with event travel.

"In all likelihood, ADHD impacts at least some of the couples mental health professional are currently counseling,” said Melissa Orlov, marriage consultant and author of The ADHD Effect on Marriage. “Since more than half of the adults with ADHD are undiagnosed, it's not always obvious that ADHD is at the core of the couples' problems. Furthermore, the skills needed to effectively treat these patients have not been taught in traditional curriculums. The four of us have carefully crafted this seminar to effectively train others to assess, address, and treat both partners in an ADHD relationship.”

The ADHD Effects on Marriage Seminar will be held on six separate dates (May 5, 11, 17, 24 and June 2, 7) from 8:15-9:45pm EST. Each session will be taught by an expert and includes specific presentation and reading materials that will be sent to the participant in advance.
