Not long ago, I was having some frustration dealing with my sister who has been very insistent that I "be around people". Her query: "don't you want to be around people?" keeps repeatedly coming up.
For me, this comes across as not taking no for an answer which it definitely has that flavor to it because it comes up almost everytime we talk.
I just ran across a list of things that are benefits of being alone which really caused me to stop and pause and look. Every single one of these things I'm experiencing in a profound way at the moment. I also noticed these are directly related to my ADHD symptoms as well. I thought it was worth sharing for no other reason than to use as a way to communicate to my sister, all the reason against what's she's pushing for. That fact that every single thing on this list is happenin now, makes this even more apparent to me if nothing else. The fact that these are directly related to my ADHD symptoms makes this even more fascinating.
