ADHD Partner Support Groups

When ADHD impacts your relationship, connection can feel impossible — but it doesn’t have to.

There’s a lot to navigate when you are the partner with ADHD in a committed relationship. These support groups for ADHD partners are held via Zoom and led by Melissa Orlov–trained, ADHD-savvy professionals. Each session focuses on one or two topics chosen by group members for deeper exploration. Participants have space to speak honestly about what’s hard, feel understood, and connect with others who truly “get it.” Together, group members explore common challenges, share lived experience, and receive practical guidance from the group leader — and from each other. Group leaders and participants help you develop strategies that work for you, so you can show up as a partner without losing yourself.

The objectives of the support group are to:

  • Reduce shame and isolation by connecting with other ADHD partners who share similar experiences
  • Explore topics such as emotional reactivity, rejection sensitivity, avoidance, and follow-through
  • Build strategies that support both personal growth and healthier relationship dynamics
  • Repair trust after missed expectations and strengthen communication over time

This group is for you if:

  • You care deeply about your partner, but ADHD keeps creating friction
  • You feel misunderstood, even when your intentions are good
  • You’re tired of feeling like your best effort is “still not enough”
  • You want space to talk honestly — without judgment or shame
  • You’re ready to reflect, grow, and feel less alone in the process

Logistics

The groups are run via Zoom video call and last one hour.  The group itself, or the group leader, picks a topic for the day.  The groups are limited to 10 participants - enough people to get a good conversation going, but not so many that you can't speak up.  Some will be recorded for the confidential use of participants in case they have a conflict, at the discretion of each moderator.  Note that dates may change.
