How and when to discuss issue with ADHD spouse

I want to address the anger and verbal abuse with my ADHD spouse.   Its out of control and I feel im living on egg shells.  I cant deal with the bipolar extreme ups then bam youre being verbally abused  I want us to get help together so I can learn to understand ADHD personality and adjust things I do to help.   I want him to understand the affect it has on me and for him to take responsibility to controll his own anger Let me set the stage of our relationship and a describe typical evenings.   Married 7  years My ADHD husband is Irish and a Scorpio.

holding on last hope for a diagnosis

My husband and I have been separated for about 4 months now.  I am feeling so hopeless after 12 years of marriage.  We have struggled most of those years.  Since our separation, I have found information on adult ADHD and feel as though he could be a poster child for it.  I have asked him to make an appointment for an evaluation, which he did for next month.  I continue to feel disappointment and hopelessness as I continue to try to trust his word and feel let down each time.  He thinks that I only focus on the things he does wrong.  I just feel like I've ridden a roller coaster for 12 yrs

Marriage with ADD can patterns start earlier in life?

I am not new to this website but new to posting.  My significant other is living with just diagnosed ADD.  He has believed for some time that he has been living with ADD but the diagnosis has helped him in many ways, and overall he is responding well to treatment.  For me though the diagnosis has brought up a lot of family of origin issues.  Mainly that my brother is also living with diagnosed ADHD and a lot of the chaos in my relationship mirrors the chaos of my childhood much of it stemming from one child with ADD and the other (me) not living with it.  While I am finding a lot of resou

New and Overwhelmed

So many of us are trying to find a way through the chaos of ADD and ADHD. I have a daughter in her late 20's diagnosed at age 6 and a husband undiagnosed. When I was told by a professional that my daughter would endure a series of dreadful events due to the fact that she was ADD, I really did not understand why they were telling me about all the negative behaviors that go along with it. I'm an optimist!!
